Do you worship Jesus or Demons?

Do you worship Jesus or Demons?  Maybe your focus is off and you need to return to JESUS?

 Mark 5:16-20:

 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon- possessed man-and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.

18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

Jesus had just healed the man with a Legion of Demons in him. The demons went into a flock of pigs and then were gone after the pigs drowned.  The owners of the pigs were Greek-oriented and were afraid of Jesus.  They went into the village and told everyone what happened and the villagers pleaded for Jesus to leave.  These pig-owners worshipped the demons and caused everyone to be afraid of God and fear receiving Love!

The man who was now clean wanted to follow Jesus.  Jesus told him to go home to his family and tell how much The Lord had done for him.  So the man went to his home and all over the region and told what Jesus had done for him and the people were amazed! The man who had been freed caused the people to be amazed and hope that they could receive Jesus' Love!

OK, this is a tough word!   We worship what we talk about and what we enjoy doing!  If you talk about things that make people feel worried and upset and it makes them not want to trust in God for their life...then you are doing like the pig farmers.  If you convince everyone that demons are strong and are greater than salvation...even though that is not true...then you are glorifying demons and worshipping demons. 

If you, like the man freed from the Legion of Demons, talk about Jesus and the Glory of God and how when we are saved we become beautiful shiny people of God...then we are worshiping God and glorifying God throughout our land!!!

 OK!  How do you want to live? How do you want to be known by God and His People?

Do you want to worship God and have all his blessings?  Like this promise from Exodus 23:25:

 25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,

Or...do you want to falsely accuse people that they are demon-carriers and are not saved?  If you are correct then people should be immediately by freed like man filled with Legion and start walking and leaping and praising God.  

If you are wrong you are causing the children of God to become confused by thinking they have demons in them when they are beautifully clean, righteous and holy!  

Why do children of God get confused?  Because 'baby Christians' cannot always discern when  someone tells them something incorrect or give them a message from the devil.  Young Christians with poor self-esteem may even think that God would not really love them and will allow them to have demons that will never go away.

We need to never tell someone they have a demon because if we are wrong our words actually get in the way of God working in a person's life. Do you want to be messing around with the plan of the Father by telling someone they have a demon in them when they do not?  

Remember, if you talk about demons all of the time and make people think that Satan is greater than God...that is actually worshipping the Devil.  Be careful!

It is better for us to lift up our brothers and sisters in JESUS and see them as shining the Glory of God into the World and making the world a better place!

I have seen a person that is disturbed by a demonic force become whole and receive peace and glory from JESUS in just a few minutes with the person praying for them in a quiet and encouraging way.

Shine, my friends and tell people about JESUS as you walk and talk and love JESUS throughout your days and nights!

Worship the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind and you will truly be happy!

Don't talk about anything else...don't worship anything else!

YOU WILL ONLY BE HAPPY WITH WORSHIPPING JESUS!
